The setting for the TV show is just what the name implies, an old-fashioned country diner where country music legends and current stars just happen to drop by to sing a few songs, chat with a friend, mingle and mill around. Now take that setting and create a REAL DINER where the food is served hot, the folks are from all over the country and you feel right at home when you walk in.
Larry Black has purchased the land, drawn up the plans, and has hired a contractor …..so if the Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise….we will have our very own Larry’s Country Diner that you can come and visit- and have a great meal too! The diner should be finished by the end of summer of 2016. This 140 seat diner will be a replica of the television show. We’ve been asked if country artists will perform?…..We hope so. Just like the Diner…you never know who will drop by and entertain just for the fun of it.
With the legacy walkway that fans can purchase a brick and put their names, slogan, memorial or logo on we hope everyone will feel like family when they arrive.
The land has been cleared and construction has begun! Stay tuned for more details!
Here is a newspaper from our local Tennessee newspaper with some more information on the diner’s ground breaking ceremony!
